Low carbon steel wire of ordinary quality heat-treated (knitting)

also known as general purpose wire, is produced from low carbon steel by drawing. It is produced in standard sizes of diameters with a cross section from 1 mm to 6 mm. To make the knitting wire plastic and pliable, it is subjected to annealing, as a result of which, depending on the annealing method, dark wire (oxidized) is obtained. The wire is widely used in construction for tying reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures or foundations, for tying packages of industrial products, mesh rolls. On the railway and in logistics it is used as a tying and packaging material, for example, for twisting hatches and doors of freight cars, fixing containers.
